Members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team accompanied Tilo Kruse was accompanied on his walk from Biche to Rio Claro yesterday.

In a post on Facebook, HSRT says in the interest is safety, the TTPS recommended that the group keep an eye out on the German backpacker’s journey through that area.

HSRT says the walk started at 10:10am and finished at about 6:30pm, with a distance of 24 kilometres covered.

It adds that residents were thrilled to meet and greet Mr Kruse along the way.

His journey started one week ago in Toco.

Me Kruse is attempting to walk to Icacos with no money to highlight T&T’s hospitality, as he relies on the kindness of persons with regard to food, water and a place to sleep.

A couple of days into his journey however he was attacked by two men, but was able to escape and file a police report.
