The HOPE political party is proposing a multi-faceted approach to fighting crime, including changes to dealing with firearm offences.
The party, headed by Political Leader Timothy Hamel-Smith, held a launch event over the weekend.
He said, as firearms are the weapon of choice for criminals, a government must address the possession of illegal guns.
Mr Hamel-Smith also stated that there is a connection between corruption and violent crime.
Mr Hamel-Smith added that crime can be fought through changes to the education system.
