A quantity of high-grade compressed cannabis was seized in St. James on New Year’s Day.

Around 7:45pm, officers conducted a search of a house located at Kandahar Street.

They found a suitcase, a black garbage bag and a crocus bag, all containing 70 packages of cannabis weighing a total of 36.6 kilograms.

Meanwhile, during an exercise between 10am and 8pm yesterday in the Western Division, officers arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with robbery offences, a 38-year-old man for shooting offences in the Diego Martin area, and a 19-year-old for larceny.
