High Court rules for Chaguaramas Military Museum to reoccupy premises

A High Court ruling has given the Chaguaramas Military Museum permission to reoccupy the premises, effective immediately.

Justice Devindra Rampersad also ruled that the Chaguaramas Development Authority is prohibited from evicting the Museum pending further hearings into the matter.

103.1FM News understands they will move to reoccupy the premises at midday today.

We were also told by the Museum’s Vice President Brian Mitchell that they will occupy the space until the matter is resolved, and welcomed a resumption of dialogue with CDA to settle the matter permanently.

Further hearings will be heard in the High Court on Monday morning.
