Heritage responds to possible oil spill

On Friday, Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) responded to reports of hydrocarbon sightings at beaches along the southwest coast. The source of the hydrocarbon is yet to be determined. More than a hundred fisherfolk were affected.

The company’s Incident Management Team (IMT) has been initiated, and a Heritage Spill Response Team has been dispatched to undertake clean-up activities. Company officials are also engaging the local community.
