Mrs Heather Seale has been appointed the new President of the Industrial Court, taking over from Mrs Deborah Thomas-Felix.
The appointment was confirmed this morning via a statement by the Office of President Christine Kangaloo.
It notes that Mrs Seale is an experienced member of the Industrial Court for almost 20 years and holds a Master’s Degree in Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology, from the University of The West Indies.
She has been appointed to the role of Industrial Court President after consultations between the Office of the President and the Chief Justice.
The Office of the President says the leadership of former Court President Thomas-Felix was instrumental in helping to build capacity and a pool of members from which it has been possible to select a new President.
