The Health Minister is condemning an allegation by the Opposition Leader that thousands in T&T were given fake COVID vaccines.
The claim was made at the UNC’s cottage meeting in Chaguanas on Monday.
However, in a media release, Minister Terrence Deyalsingh says the vaccines distributed in T&T were all approved by the WHO prior to their use.
He adds that this allegation is an affront to the health sector and may also suggest that doctors and nurses breached their sacred oaths.
The Minister is demanding a full retraction of the statement by Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
