The HDC says it will review its security policies after one of its workers was robbed and shot at Olera Heights, San Fernando.
Anthony London was entering his vehicle yesterday afternoon when he was accosted by three men who attempted to steal his jewellery.
When London resisted, he was shot in the leg and the bandits fled the scene with his chain and are being searched for by police.
London was taken to hospital.
The HDC says it will be reviewing security policies to ensure staff safety in communities considered high-risk, and will be reviewing the employee dress code to ensure compliance with company standards.
Also commenting on the incident, Housing Minister Camille Robinson-Regis condemned acts of violence against employees carrying out their duties.
