A hazardous seas alert remains in effect until tomorrow afternoon.

The met service says northerly long period swells are mainly affecting the northern coastal areas, such as Maracas Bay, Toco, and other similar areas.

It says these swells can affect the highlighted coastal areas in the form of occasional battering waves, especially during high tides.

Moderate low – level winds can also result in generally choppy seas.
