A Yellow-Level Hazardous Seas Alert is in effect until 4pm on January 2nd, 2025.

According to the Met Service, northeasterly long period swells and spring tides are expected to continue agitating seas, especially at high tides.

It adds that larger than normal breakers are expected in the surf zone.

The Met Service says nearshore activities should be limited where possible and persons should avoid swimming in agitated seas.
