Alana and Andrew Mathura have appeared in court charged with the murder of their 18-year-old daughter, Hannah.

Today, they were in High Court North ‘A’ before Master Sarah De Silva, who set a Sufficiency Hearing for April 1st 2026.

The charge follows the discovery of Hannah’s body in the backyard of the family’s home at Butu Road, Valsayn on March 12th 2024.

The find came after a relative told police that the teen had been killed and buried in a shallow grave.

Hannah had last been seen alive on July 9th 2017.

Her parents were initially arrested back in March but subsequently released pending further investigations.

They were re-arrested on October 15th 2024 and charged.
