Guyana PM expects power from gas-to-energy project by third quarter of 2025

Guyana is expected to start bringing power from a gas-to-energy project to its grid by the third quarter of 2025.

This, according to the Guyana Chronicle, has been revealed by Prime Minister Brigadier (Retired) Mark Phillips during his end-of-year press conference.

The Chronicle reports that the gas-to-energy project has been seen as a major milestone in the country’s development.

Vice-President Dr Bharrat Jagdeo has previously said that the project, once on stream, will save Guyana around US$250 million per year.
