Guyana launches its new 10-year-passport

Guyana has launched a new 10-year passport that became available, effective Monday February 10th.

A media release from Guyana’s Home Affairs Ministry, indicated the new passport also has enhanced design elements and security measures including an electronic chip.

The five-year passport remains at a cost of GY$6,000, while the 10-year option is available at GY$12,000. Applicants have the option between a five-year or ten-year validity period based on their needs.

Applications submitted before Friday, February 7, 2025, will receive the previous version and all applications made from February 10 onward will receive the new e-passport.
