A 62-year-old man was remanded into custody after appearing in court charged with sexual offences against his 11-year-old and 12-year-old granddaughters.

The accused was arrested and charged yesterday with three counts of Sexual Touching and one count of Sexual Penetration of a minor.

He will reappear on October 13th, 2023.

One victim told detectives that during the period January 2022 to December 2022, she was in a bedroom when the man touched her inappropriately.

Similar incidents also allegedly took place between January 1st and February 20th 2023, and between April 1st and April 8th 2023.

Meanwhile, the second victim said the man sexually assaulted her in the bathroom of his home sometime between January 2021 and December 2021.
