General Election Nomination Day in T&T, Gary Griffith criticizes pomp and fanfare

Pomp and fanfare sound across Trinidad and Tobago today as candidates from the various parties filed their nominations for the April 28th General Election.

However, Gary Griffith was critical of this as his rivals delivered their nomination papers, both accompanied by a mix of music trucks, flag bearers and tassa drummers.

Meanwhile, former UNC MP Colin Partap accompanied the PNM’s Moruga/Tableland candidate Lisa Atwater during her walk to sign up this morning.

In Chaguanas East, former UNC member Larry Lalla accompanied the PNM’s candidate Richie Sookhai to the area’s EBC office.

Patriotic Front’s Leader Mikela Panday filed her nomination papers for Couva North, the seat once held by her late father Basdeo Panday.
