At least 75 people were killed in the past 24 hours by Israeli strikes on central Gaza, taking the Palestinian death toll to at least 35,586.

According to Al Jazeera, morgues are overflowing, and hospitals are struggling to cope with a surge of casualties in Deir el-Balah.

Israel ground forces moved into the Bureij refugee camp, while fighter jets and artillery attack targets in the area.

Al Jazeera adds that the death toll in Israel from Hamas’s attacks is at least 1,139 with dozens of people still held captive in Gaza.
