The cast members of “Friends” say they are “devastated” by the death of fellow star Matthew Perry.

Perry died on Saturday at the age of 54 and was best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the sitcom which ran from 1994 to 2004.

In a joint statement to BBC News, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow said it was an “unfathomable loss”.

The Friends actor was reportedly found unresponsive in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home.

BBC News reports that Perry’s post-mortem was inconclusive, and officials are awaiting the results of toxicology tests.
