A Former Special Reserve Police officer was shot and killed in Curepe this morning.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 2am at a bar located along the Southern Main Road near Curepe Junction.

An armed man is said to have approached and shot 37-year-old Arkim Baker, who died at the scene.

The suspect escaped and remains at large.
