25 forest officers and other employees at the Forestry Division have taken part in a training exercise focused on the rehabilitation of degraded forests.
The session was facilitated by Dr Clays-Martin Eckelmann, Regional Forestry Officer with the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization.
Using the “Train the Trainer” method, expert personnel shared their insights on how to effectively rehabilitate overharvested forested areas.
In addition to theoretical exercises, participants also received hands on practical training.
The exercise was part of the EMA’s project called Biodiversity Conservation and Agroecological Land Restoration in Productive Landscapes of T&T (BIOREACH).
