Flooding was reported in a number of areas following heavy rainfall this morning.

Reports came from parts of Tunapuna including Tunapuna Road and Balthazar Street, as well as the eastbound lane of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in the vicinity of Coca Cola.

There were also reports of flooding ongoing along Queen’s Park West and near Bishop Anstey High School in Port of Spain.

Also reported, was the closure of the Health Ministry’s headquarters at Queen’s Park East due to leaks at the building.

A video on social media shows water falling inside the building which was opened last August.

The Health Ministry has since responded via a media release to say that unexpected plumbing issues resulted in several floors of the building being affected.
