Five candidates will be involved in by-elections for Lengua/Indian Walk and Quinam/Morne Diablo today.

The candidates are
• Quinam/Morne Diablo: Anderson Nanan (PNM) and Sarah Sookdeo (UNC)
• Lengua/Indian Walk: Autly Granthume (PNM), Nicole Gopaul (UNC) and Peterson Morales (Independent)

The polls for Lengua/Indian Walk ended in a tie in last year’s Local Government Elections.

Quinam/Morne Diablo became vacant following the death of councillor and Corporation Chairman Diptee Ramnath in December 2023.
