The first tropical storm of the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season has formed, and it is called Alberto.
The Caribbean is not its way, as Alberto is bringing heavy winds and rains to the coasts of Texas and Mexico in America.
The centre of the storm was expected to reach the northeastern coast of Mexico south of the mouth of the Rio Grande by early Thursday morning.
The National Hurricane Centre says the hurricane season which runs to November 30th, is likely to be well above average, with between 17 and 25 named storms.
The forecast calls for as many as 13 hurricanes and four major hurricanes.
