Fake Facebook profiles purporting to be that of Finance Minister Colm Imbert are being set up to conduct scams and fraudulent activity.

This is according to a media release from the Ministry which says, to date, eight fake accounts have been identified, all attempting to either solicit money or steal person’s digital identities through phishing.

The Ministry says the matter is being investigated by law enforcement and is urging the public to be vigilant about these fake profiles.
