Finance Minister Colm Imbert didn’t expect his Budget presentation to go as long as it did.

This morning at the Post Budget Discussion hosted by the T&T Manufacturer’s Association, Mr Imbert said he thought the presentation may have been around four hours.

The presentation was his longest as Finance Minister, coming in at about five hours and 10 minutes.

At today’s event he spoke about aspects of the Budget, including the T&T Revenue Authority, which is expected to come on-stream soon.

Mr Imbert said it will be help to close the tax gap, allowing for the generation of 2 to 3 billion dollars in additional revenue.
