Rivulet Road in Couva and Chin Chin Road in Cunupia were both blocked with burning debris by residents protesting separate issues.
At Rivulet Road, residents are raising concerns about a piece of land in the area.
103.1FM News spoke with Chairman of the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation Ryan Rampersad, who says the empty land was being used by the residents for years to facilitate community activities.
Recently, a container was dropped and work began to erect a fence around the property.
The work is being done by a company claiming to own the land, however the residents say no documents have been provided to verify this.
Mr Rampersad says the Corporation will conduct enquiries to determine the status of the land.
He adds that if the company does in fact own the land, they will have all legal rights to use it as they deem fit.
Meanwhile part of Chin Chin Road in Cunupia was blocked with burning debris by residents of Kernahan Trace, who are upset with a lack of water in their community for the past few months.
Mr Rampersad says MPs in the area have previously called on WASA to address the issue.
He has also reiterated this appeal.
Meanwhile, Caroni East MP Dr Rishad Seecharan says residents of Kernahan Trace have been enduring a water crisis for years, despite numerous complaints to WASA.
