Ferry passengers rush to get on to Trinidad sailing

There was a rush of passengers to the Scarborough Port this morning, as stranded Trinidadians sought to get onto one of today’s three sailings.

Hundreds of persons were left in Tobago on Sunday as the ferry service was halted for two days due to Hurricane Beryl’s passage.

Today, the ATP James, Buccoo Reef and Galleons Passage are sailing at noon, 4pm and 5pm, respectively.

A first-come-first-served basis is reportedly in effect at the port, as passengers started lining up as late as midnight.

Caribbean Airlines flights also resumed last evening, and they were able to accommodate a large number of persons so far.
