Enforcement of new tint laws (Windscreen and Window Tint Regulations, 2020) will begin in six weeks.

According to reports, this warning was given as government launched the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Windscreen and Window Tint Regulation initiative yesterday.

Works Minister Rohan Sinanan reportedly said that the six weeks will be for public education and for motorists to have their tints changed.

Officials insisted that enforcement of the tint laws will be done using a tool known as a visible light transmittance (VLT) measuring device.
