A man from Flanagin Town has been held for the possible murder of his elderly father.

Around 7:30pm yesterday, the man went to his aunt’s home and confessed to an altercation with his father.

After unsuccessfully trying to contact 75-year-old Peter Banfield, the relative visited his house on Mamoral Road, where she found him lying motionless on the kitchen floor.

Banfield had apparent marks of violence about his head and face and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was later arrested, cautioned, and taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility.
