Education Minister Dr Michael Dowlath said that the promise of a Hindu school in San Fernando will be kept by the Government.
During an Indian Arrival Day service at the San Fernando Krishna Mandir yesterday, he recognized the emphasis of the country’s ancestors on education and how it shaped society’s development.
Dr Dowlath said it is now the children of cane farmers who are leading tech companies, teaching at and leading universities and shaping the country’s policies.
He acknowledged the struggles of the East Indian ancestors and noted their resilience which endures to this day.
