Mean scores at the SEA exam for Mathematics and English Language Arts Writing have increased in 2024, while there has been a decrease in English Language Arts.

This is according to the analysis of the 2024 SEA results by the Education Ministry.

For Mathematics, the mean score was 50.7% this year compared to 50.4% last year, for English Language Arts it was 53.4% this year compared to 61.6% last year and in Writing it was 59% compared to 53.4% last year.

Also, the percentage of students scoring above 90% dropped from 2.11% last year to 1.42% this year; the number of students scoring about 50% dropped from 58.06% in 2023 to 57.91% this year; and the number of students with scores of 30% or below increased from 13.55% in 2023 to 14.39% in 2024.

Results will be released via the Ministry’s SEA online portal at midnight.
