A former EBC election presiding officer will not be allowed to return to those duties for the upcoming elections, after a video online showed her endorsing the PNM.

The woman, sitting in her car, was asked by an interviewer about her hopes for the election, and she stated for the PNM to come back into power.

The video was reportedly sent to the EBC’s Chief Election Officer, who said anyone found canvassing for a party or engaging in campaigning in any way will not be allowed to work for the EBC on poll day.

Currently there are no presiding officers for the April 28th election, as the process to select them only began yesterday.
