PDP leader Watson Duke has called on his former colleague, THA secretary Farley Augustine, to rejoin with him to better serve the people of Tobago.
It follows a public spat between the two last year, over the THA’s handling of a cultural group which had gone to perform in New York.
The issues snowballed and led to Augustine and several others being removed as members of the PDP.
Augustine and the others recently launched their own party, called the Tobago People’s Party.
On Monday, Duke said he was willing to put past animosities aside and recently wrote to Augustine to call for reconciliation.
He believes there is no way the new party can defeat the PNM.
