UPDATE: The shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania is being investigated as an attempted assassination of the former president.
This is according to The Associated Press which says this comes from law enforcement officials.
It adds that Butler County district attorney Richard Goldinger said in a phone interview that the suspected gunman was dead and at least one rally attendee was killed.

Donald Trump’s campaign team says he is “fine” after being whisked off the stage following apparent gunshots at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
A report by Associated Press says after bangs started ringing through the crowd, Mr Trump was seen reaching with his right hand toward his neck.
There appeared to be blood on his face.
He quickly ducked behind the riser as agents from his protective detail rushed the stage.
Mr Trump was later escorted from the venue.
AP says spokesman Steven Cheung issued a statement saying “President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”
The Secret Service also issued a statement saying “the former President is safe.”
President Joe Biden has also since issued a statement condemning the incident.
