DNA testing has been ordered for the body found on November 21st at Murray Trace in Siparia.
The remains were tentatively identified as belonging to 46-year-old Jaime Mohammed, based on items of clothing.
According to the Hunters Search & Rescue Team led by Vallence Rambharat, the step to order DNA testing is to establish an official ID for the body which was badly decomposed.
Mr Rambharat says it will also officially rule out the remains as belonging to other persons who have been reported missing and are yet to be found.
Mohammed has not been seen since October 18th 2024.
