The Tourism Ministry says Disney Cruise Line recently held a successful recruitment drive in T&T.
Conducted at Queen’s Hall, Port of Spain on May 15th and 16th, the Ministry says it supported the initiative by providing the event venue, corporate communications services and other logistical arrangements.
It says Meridian Recruitment Agency Limited, the local recruitment agent, shortlisted applicants to fill vacancies in the areas of Food and Beverage, Guest Services, Galley Jobs, Lifeguards and Culinary.
The positions were advertised in the local newspapers and via digital media for two weeks, with 80 applicants were selected to
be interviewed by Disney Cruise Line recruiters.
According to the Ministry, 90% of applicants interviewed will receive letters of intent from Disney Cruise Line.
Tourism Minister Randall Mitchell expects even more recruitment drives in T&T in the future and is encouraging nationals to seize the opportunities.
