St Vincent and the Grenadines is reporting 119 Dengue Fever cases so far in 2024.

According to a report by St Vincent Times, 23 were recorded in June and 82 cases in July.

The report adds that the number of lab confirmed cases has exceeded the threshold of the number expected, indicating a dengue fever outbreak in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The country’s Health Ministry has since implemented a series of measures, such as increased public awareness and health education interventions, increased surveillance for more targeted source reduction, and the contracting of a private company to provide additional support to the vector control unit.
