The death toll from floods in central Greece has risen to four.
Severe rainstorms turned streets into raging torrents, hurled cars into the sea, and washed away roads and bridges.
More than 885 people had been rescued so far , while six have been reported missing.
Al Jazeera says flooding triggered by severe rainstorms also hit neighbouring Bulgaria and Turkey, killing a total of 15 people in the three countries.
The flooding came on the heels of wildfires that burned vast areas of forest and farmland in Greece, destroyed homes and killed more than 20 people.
