DCP Junior Benjamin says he will continue to give strategic direction to the TTPS until an Acting Police Commissioner is appointed.

The Police Service Commission suspended Top Cop Erla Harewood-Christopher, who was arrested last week as part of an investigation into the acquisition of two sniper rifles for the SSA.

Questions have since arisen regarding the TTPS leadership.

These questions were today put to DCP Benjamin during today’s TTPS briefing.

DCP Benjamin also insists there is no division within the TTPS due to the matter involving Mrs Harewood-Christopher.
