Australia cricketer David Warner has announced his retirement from ODIs.
The announcement comes in the lead up to his final Test which starts on Wednesday.
Warner previously indicated that he would retire from Tests after the ongoing series against Pakistan.
Warner said he felt the time was right following the 2023 World Cup in which he was the tournament’s leading run scorer, helping the Aussies to their 6th title.
Over his career, he scored 6,932 ODI runs at 45.30, with 22 centuries – only Ricky Ponting has more scored more ODI tons for Australia.
He will continue to be available for the country in T20 cricket and is hopeful of featuring in their World Cup campaign in that format in June in the Caribbean and USA.
