Darrell Allahar and David Nakhid are the two newest appointments to Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar’s cabinet.

Mr Allahar will serve as a Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, while Mr Nakhid will assume duties as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs.

Both Senators received their instruments of appointment from President Christine Kangaloo this afternoon at President’s House.

Mr Allahar is an attorney at law, while Mr Nakhid served as an Opposition Senator with the UNC from 2020 to 2025.
