The West Indians bowled out a Cricket Australia XI for 174 on the second day of their three-day tour match, before securing a 214-run lead by stumps.
Kemar Roach, Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph each took two wickets as CAXI’s first innings response to 251/8 declared ended in just 54.5 overs.
Batting a second time, the West Indians got to 137/3 at the end of day two with Joshua Da Silva, who moved up the order to open, on 55 not out and Kavem Hodge with him on 44.
Hodge has been a standout, having made 52 in the first innings.
The match is a warm-up fixture ahead of two Tests against Australia from January 16th.
