CXC has issued another assurance ahead of next month’s release of results for the 2023 exam which experienced a breach of Maths Paper Two.
The examination body held a public information session this morning on its modified grading approach, which was put in place following the breach and meant that the breached paper would not be graded.
CXC’s Senior Manager of Examinations Development and Production, Alton McPherson explained that exams are graded by three profiles and not by the specific papers.
He assured that said without Paper 2, the same three profiles – Knowledge, Comprehension and Reasoning – will be graded, but with total marks reduced from 200 to 100.
CXC results will be released online on August 24th.
