Cricket West Indies says it is working with WIPA to achieve “significant increases for women cricketers.”

This statement was included in a media release in which the cricket board said it is creating a development roadmap with major investment for women’s cricket in the region.

It noted that CWI and WIPA are in the process of finalizing a new Memorandum of Understanding.

Significant increases for women cricketers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

CWI said this effort comes after the launch of its inaugural Women’s Cricket Academy which opened earlier this month.
