Cricket West Indies has paid tribute to the late Raphick Jumadeen, saying he was an outstanding servant of the game.
Jumadeen, a former West Indies and T&T spinner, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 75.
He played 12 Tests for West Indies between 1972 and 1979, taking 29 wickets and hitting a Test half-century.
Following his retirement from playing, he was a coach and selector in Trinidad and Tobago and a member of the West Indies senior men’s selection panel.
CWI President Dr Kishore Shallow says Jumadeen has left behind a legacy of service, commitment, and giving back to the game he loved.
The West Indies team paid tribute to Jumadeen by wearing black armbands during the ODI against India yesterday.
