A new selection process for Cricket West Indies is expected to take effect following ratification at a directors’ meeting later this month.

This was unveiled by CWI in a media release which confirmed that the tenures of Lead Selectors Dr Desmond Haynes and Mrs Ann Browne-John have come to an end.

CWI says the new selection process is part of ongoing restructuring efforts and will have an increased focus on scouting, depth charting, alignment with cricket strategy, and human resource management.

It adds that these decisions were taken for considerations by the Cricket Development and Performance Committee.

CWI Director of Cricket, Miles Bascombe says the organization is committed to a selection process which reflects the current needs of the cricketing landscape and which gives the best chance to identify and develop talent across all levels.
