CWI announces new team kits

The West Indies Men’s and Women’s teams will wear new team jerseys, starting from the upcoming series against England.

This, as Cricket West Indies enters a new technical partnership with leading European sportswear company, Macron.

This partnership will see Macron supplying team playing and training kits for all home and away Test, ODI and T20I matches.

The kits will be used by all Windies Men’s and Women’s international teams, including ‘A’ Teams, the Academies and age group teams.

The new designs will be unveiled in the build-up to the England Series, which bowls off with the first ODI at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on December 3rd.

CWI says the team jerseys feature high performance material that not only support performance but also help reduce plastic waste and energy consumption.

Each jersey is made from a special 100% PET recycled polyester thread that comes from thirteen recycled bottles.

CWI says the partnership helps its aim to increase sustainability, reduce plastic waste and reduce energy consumption which is important for the future of Caribbean countries.

Macron is an Italian based sports apparel manufacturer that has been supplying equipment and sportwear from grassroots to elite athletes, sports players and teams for over five decades.
