A Cunupia couple has been granted $140,000 bail for five charges, including fraud.
34-year-old Kavita David, a teacher, was charged with two counts of forgery and two counts of uttering a forged document, after allegedly submitting documents with forged signatures for a High Court matter.
42-year-old Johnathan David, a police officer currently on leave, was held as part of that investigation, but later charged with contravening the terms of his Firearm Users License.
According to the TTPS, he was in possession of more rounds of ammunition than he was authorised to keep at any time .
On July 6th, Justice of the Peace Abraham Ali granted Mrs David $100,000 to cover all the charges while her husband was granted $40,000 bail.
They will appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate on July 28th.
