Joshua Regrello’s “31-hour Steelpan playing marathon” has officially been accepted by Guinness World Records.

The San Fernando pannist has been congratulated by Culture Minister Michelle Benjamin, who said due to his feat the steelpan continues to make history.

In December 2024, Mr Regrello undertook the effort at the Wack Radio 90.1 FM building in San Fernando.

A release from the Ministry said it contributed to the success of this endeavour by assigning four Cultural Officers to serve as official timekeepers and witnesses, in keeping with the rigorous verification process for Guinness World Record.
