South Africa’s men’s and women’s cricketers will now receive equal international-match fees.

According to ESPNcricinfo’s South Africa correspondent Firdose Moonda, the announcement came as Cricket South Africa unveiled a six-team professional domestic system for women.

The announcement is being described as a massive boost to female cricketers in the country.

South Africa’s women’s team finished as runners-up at the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup, losing to Australia in the final back in February.
