Trinbago Knight Riders were bowled out for 113 in the chase of 168 in today’s CPL clash against St Lucia Kings.
Kings batted first and made 167/5 in 20 overs with a top score of 57 from captain Faf du Plessis – Dwayne Bravo led the TKR bowling with 2/31 in four overs.
In their response, TKR were getting the boundaries, but lost wickets regularly.
Mark Deyal (33) and Kieron Pollard provided sparks of excellence but both got out to the Kings’ spin – Deyal lbw to Peter Hatzoglou and Pollard caught off the bowling of Sikandar Raza.
But the star of the show for the Kings was former TKR spinner Khary Pierre who ended with 4/20 and spin cleaned up the batting line-up.
Roston Chase and Raza took two each and Hatzoglou ended with one to provide crucial bowling support to Pierre.
Raza was named Player of the Match as he made 32 from 23 balls with the bat in addition to his 2/31 with the ball.
